Lorraine D. Grider, 87, of Moore Township, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus, following an automobile accident. She and her husband, Robert A. Grider, were married 66 years on November 30th.
Born in Moore Township, Lorraine was one of ten children of the late Clyde J. and Esther I. (Althouse) Derhammer. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, who was known for her flair for fashion. Active and engaging, Lorraine was a social butterfly and always looked for the opportunity to assist those who needed a helping hand. She loved flowers, gardening and exhibited great pride in maintaining her home. Throughout the years, Lorraine also enjoyed trips to the casino with her husband.
In addition to her husband, Robert, she will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her daughter, Robin Perun and husband, Roman, of Albrightsville; four grandchildren, Eric Lilly and wife, Pat, Nichole Knauss and husband, Doug, Cory Perun and wife, Jennifer, and Mandi Perun; eight great-grandchildren, Austin and wife, Haley, Steven, Cheyenne, Hailey, Sierra, Kendall, Mason, and Riley; five great-great-grandchildren, Chase, Jordan, Adalynn, Jaxon, and Ryder; two brothers, Allen Derhammer of Danielsville, and Lester Derhammer and wife, Ellen, of Klecknersville; along with many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was predeceased by a daughter, Gail M. Guzick; three sisters, Grace Eckert, Gladys Heckman, and Gloria Swope; and four brothers, Gordon, Ralph, Carl, and Leon Derhammer.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday morning from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery at Little Moore, Danielsville.
