Barbara Emily (Rossi) Sudhop

Barbara Emily Sudhop, 82, of Moore Township, Hickory Hills, formerly of Boston, MA and Roxborough, PA, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 10, 2023.  She was the wife of Charles J. Sudhop.  Barbara and Charles celebrated 66 years of marriage on March 22nd.  Born in Roxborough, PA, she was a daughter of the late Dominic and Dorothy (Lance) Rossi.  After attending Roxborough High School, she continued her education at Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical School where she graduated from the nursing program.  Specializing in pediatric care, Barbara was a nurse for 25 years until retiring in 2006.  Throughout the years of living in New England, Barbara and Charles enjoyed the beach life, boating, and had many wonderful memories of time spent with family and friends.  She loved her family more than anything.  Barbara enjoyed her social time as a member at Point Phillips Rod & Gun Club, as well as bowling and playing shuffleboard in the league at Hickory Hills.

Survivors: In addition to her loving husband, Charles, she will be dearly missed by her son, Charles J. Sudhop, III of Doylestown; daughters, Beth DeHaven and husband, Troy of, Brodheadsville, and Amy Anderson and husband, Bryan, of Campton, New Hampshire; four grandchildren, Kylie, Zachary, Jessica, and Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Eric, Ryan, and Katherine; sisters-in-law, Doris Valincus of Norristown, and Janet McGuire of Riverside, California;nieces and nephews.  Barbara was predeceased by a daughter, Melissa J. “Missy” Pedersen; a granddaughter, Melinda Beth (Anderson) Grey; a brother, Donald Rossi; and a sister, Dorothy “Dolly” Cassel.

Services: A Memorial Service in celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 12:30 P.M. in the ClubHouse at Hickory Hills, 121 Hickory Hills Drive, Bath, PA 18014.  Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday morning from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the Club House.Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath.
