Betty L. McCune

Betty L. McCune, 97, of Lehigh Twp., formerly of Corona, CA, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Betty was born in Enterprise, AL to the late Will Ezell and Lilla Forman Robertson. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Chaffin and Paul "Mac" McCune.

She graduated from Coffee County High School, AL and attended Newport News Business College, - VA. Betty was a homemaker. She found joy in attending Bethany Wesleyan Church in Cherryville, PA and her former congregation at First Baptist Church in Corona, CA. Her faith was an integral part of her life, as she was a regular attendee of church services and Bible study sessions.

Throughout her life, Betty had a passion for learning and was known as a voracious reader. She also found delight in the art of square dancing, a hobby that brought her much happiness and camaraderie.

Survivors: She will be dearly missed by her daughter: Diane Muthard and her husband David of Lehigh Twp.; grandchildren: Eli, Tommy, Stephanie, Marlene, Shannon, William, Zachary and Ryan; great-grandchildren: Mason, Calvin, Logan, Colby and Jack; brother, Harold Ezell and his wife Sandra of Montgomery, AL and many nieces and nephews. Betty is predeceased by a son: Donald F. Chaffin; siblings: Margie, Mary, Billy and Dalton Ezell.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 10 AM in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC., 2165 Community Drive, Bath, PA, 18014. Friends and Relatives are invited to call from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will conclude services at Greenwood Cemetery - Howertown.
