Claudette N. Ford, 76, of Middletown, Delaware, formerly of Bushkill Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. She was the wife of the late Craig M. Ford, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2010. Born in Camden, NJ, Claudette was a daughter of the late Harry and Charlotte (Loiret) Green. She was a 1965 graduate of Stratford High School in Stratford, NJ. Claudette was employed at Guardian Life Insurance as a customer service agent before retiring in 2010. Prior to that, she was the manager of the jewelry department at the former Hess’s Department Store in the Palmer Park Mall. Claudette was an avid collector of eagle figurines and a huge NASCAR fan. Throughout the years, Claudette and her family were very involved with racing, and she was a member of the Lehigh Valley Quarter Midget Racing Club as well as the Garden State Vintage Racing Club. Although she was passionate about racing, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Claudette absolutely loved being a soccer grandmother and cheering on her grandchildren at their games. She was a member of Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church of Moorestown.
Survivors: Claudette will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children, Craig M. Ford, II and wife, Diana, with whom she resided, and Michele V. Betancourt and fiancé, Timothy Stewart, of Easton; five grandchildren, Luke Betancourt of Easton, Seth Betancourt of Bethlehem, Ryan, Tyler and Kylie Ford, all of Middletown, Delaware; two sisters, Arlene Jensen of Stratford, NJ, and Allison Croge of Gloucester, NJ; along with nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Craig, she was predeceased by a brother, Richard C. Green.
Services: A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, Nazareth (Moorestown) PA 18064. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church - Moorestown.
