Emblem

David H. Haupt, 77, of Upper Nazareth Twp., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn Haupt to whom he was married to for 55 years before her passing in 2022. He was a son of the late Harold and Myrtle Haupt (Mitchell).

David was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran who honorably served during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, known for his hardworking nature and commitment to his craft. His hands were as comfortable operating machinery as they were nurturing his pride and joy-his beautiful lawn. This passion earned him the endearing nickname "the Mad Mower," reflecting his diligent care and love for his outdoor space.

Along with his late wife, they enjoyed the sweet sounds of Doo Wop music and shared a deep appreciation for cars, being enthusiastic members of the PT Cruiser Club and various antique automobile clubs. Their memories of joyful drives and laughter will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew them.

David will be remembered by his children: David M. Haupt of Upper Nazareth Twp., and Melissa L. Haupt of Malvern, PA; sisters: Linda D'Avanzo (John) and Doreen Hank (Elwood "Pete"); companion: Sally Viglione of Forks Twp.; beloved dog: Missy; along with many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net. Arrangements and cremation care are under the direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC. - Moorestown.

In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be offered to Miller Keystone Blood Center - 1465 Valley Center Parkway Bethlehem, PA 18017 https://www.giveapint.org/ and/or American Red Cross https://www.redcross.org/
