David Russell

David L. Russell, 73, of Moore Township, formerly of Lodi, New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hecktown Oaks in Lower Nazareth Township. He was the loving husband of Nancy E. (Mogavero) Russell. The couple celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on May 15.

Born in Patterson, New Jersey, David was a son of the late John D. and Faye Mae (Jones) Russell. After graduating from high school, David honorably served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He retired in 2012 from Phillips Pet Food & Supplies where he was employed for 13 years. Prior to that, David was a truck driver for Schneider National Trucking and the former Lehigh Valley Dairy in Whitehall. Known for his love of music, especially that of recording artist Frankie Valli, David enjoyed making custom compact discs which he shared with his family, many friends and aquaintances. Summertime gatherings were considered a special event opportunity for David to organize and promote his annual Russell's Minature Golf Tournament as well as lawn dart competition, events everyone looked forward to attending. David attended Dryland United Church of Christ and supported many activities and events at the church throughout the years.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Nancy, he is survived by his brother, John Russell and his wife, Carla, of Radford, Virginia; a niece and nephews; Gracie, his beloved pet dog; and a very close friend, Andy Kalnas and his wife, Mary Jane, of Bethlehem.

David was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Kuiper.

Services: A Public Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be private.
