David R. Siegfried

David R. Siegfried, 80, of Wilson Borough, formerly of Palmer Township, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.  Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Howard D. “Pete”Jr. and Ethel E. (Ellis) Siegfried.  Dave was a 1961 graduate of Easton High School and attended Penn State University.  A carpenter by trade, Dave was an entrepreneur who owned and operated severalbusinesses throughout his diverse career. Family and close friends would describe him as fiercely independent and very opinionated, but he was also adventurous and, at one time, backpacked and camped in the Rockies to hunt for elk.  Dave was a lifelong member of Arndt’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors: He is survived by two brothers, James F. Siegfried and wife, Rev. Dody, of Andreas, PA, and Richard R. Siegfried and wife, Ruth Ann, of Forks Township; a sister, Jean L. Ruschman and husband, Dale, of Palmer Township; nieces and nephews, Jim and Benjamin Siegfried, Lisa Bowman, Becky Pletcher, Bob Ruschman, Jennifer Nicholas, Joel and Shawn Freed, and Krystle Erdie; as well as great-nieces and great-nephews; and cousins.  Dave was predeceased by a nephew, Andrew D. Siegfried and a sister-in-law, Carol Siegfried.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in Arndt’s Lutheran Church, 1851 Arndt Road, Easton (Forks Township) PA 18040.  Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in church.  Interment will follow in Arndt’s Cemetery, Forks Township.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Arndt’s Lutheran Church.
