Dawn Eckhart

Dawn D. Eckhart, 85, of Plainfield Twp., passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Asbury Chandler Estate. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Eckhart to whom she was married to for 51 years before his passing in 2011. Born in Belfast, Dawn was a daughter of the late Chester and Grace Young (Williamson).

Dawn worked in human resources for Crayola LLC, formerly the Binney & Smith Company. Dawn was a member of Grace Lutheran Church - Belfast.

Throughout her life, Dawn found joy in simple pleasures, spending her time at her church, gardening, volunteering, and baking delicious treats. She was known for her warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to spreading joy to those around her. For 50 years, she delighted both children and adults alike by playing the role of Mrs. Santa Claus at Binney & Smith and Chandler Estates. Dawn lived a life filled with love, kindness, and service to others.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Karen Wise and finace Bernard Auker of Sinking Spring; grandchildren: Katlyn, Kira and Conner and great-grandson: Easton; brother: Dale Young of Wind Gap; many nieces and nephews. Dawn was predeceased by a sister: Joyce Kratzer.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Grace Lutheran Church (Belfast) - 5907 Sullivan Trail, Nazareth, PA 18064. Friends and Relatives are invited to call from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Belfast Union Cemetery.
