Dennis Silvius

Dennis R. Silvius, 69, of Upper Nazareth Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Alexandria Manor in Nazareth. He was the loving husband of the late Karin A. (Warner) Silvius. Devoted to one another, Dennis and Karin shared 46 wonderful years of marriage prior to her passing in 2022.

Born in Fountain Hill, Dennis was a son of the late Willard G. and Marilyn M. (Heckman) Silvius, and he was a 1973 graduate of Nazareth High School. Dennis was last employed at the Walgreens Distribution Center in Bethlehem, and he previously worked at the former Maier's Bakery, as well as Bethlehem Steel Corp., Mack Trucks, and Gracedale Nursing Home. As a faithful member of Schoeneck Moravian Church, Dennis volunteered countless hours and served in various capacities throughout the years, always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was passionate and proud of his perennial flower garden, loved to write poetry, and enjoyed many memorable vacations with Karin at Disney World. Anyone who truly knew Dennis understood that his faith and family were most important to him.

Survivors: Dennis will be dearly missed by his sons, Todd Silvius and wife, Lisa, of Bethlehem Township, and Matthew Silvius and wife, Jill, of Wind Gap; a granddaughter, Andie, and two grandsons, Zane and Leo; two brothers, Wayne Silvius and wife, Connie, of Wind Gap, and Ronald Silvius and wife, Shirley, of Nazareth; four sisters, Melrose Werkheiser and husband, Paul, of Nazareth, Sandra Bray of Wind Gap, Eileen George and husband, Thomas, and Carol Correll and husband, Roy, both of Bath; two sisters-in-law, Linda Silvius of Plainfield Township, and Donna Francisco and husband, Frank, of Palmer Township; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Karin, he was predeceased by a brother, Willard H. "Buddy" Silvius.

Services: A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening, November 26, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. in Schoeneck Moravian Church, 316 N. Broad Street Extension, Nazareth, PA 18064 with a visitation from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in God's Acre of Schoeneck Moravian Cemetery, Nazareth.
