Elaine I. Kindred

Elaine I. Kindred, 94, formerly of Lords Valley and Hanover Twp. passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Country Meadows, Bethlehem. She is the wife of Sherwood O. Kindred. Elaine was born in Bethlehem on May 24, 1929 to the late Lester and Malvina (Felker) Feist. She was a Liberty High School graduate, Class of 1946. She was the office manager for Drs.Theodore Burger & Wilfred Vogler of Bethlehem for more than 25 years. Elaine was a member of College Hill Moravian Church. She enjoyed quilting and knitting and serving the community in her church and local libraries. She was a proud national champion of the Happy Boombadeers! Her family, especially her five great-grandchildren, brought her much pride and joy.

SURVIVORS:

In addition to her husband of 75 years; sons: Sherwood L. Kindred and his wife Petrina of Danielsville; John D. Kindred and his wife Deborah of Bath; and daughter: Beverly Nehilla and her husband Stephen of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Taryn Kindred Walheim, Barrett Nehilla, Tiffany Kindred Korhut, Leah Apgar and Aileen Bouton; and great grandchildren: Reese, Lucas, Gabriella, Faith, and Wyatt. Elaine was predeceased by brother: Lester C.V. Feist; sisters: Ruth Bosch and Esther McCandless.

SERVICE:

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at College Hill Moravian Church - 72 West Laurel St, Bethlehem, 18018. Burial will conclude services at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at: www.bensingfuneralhome.net.
