Frances VanDyke

Frances M. VanDyke, 78, of Easton, passed away peacefully while surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at St. Luke's University Hospital - Bethlehem Campus in Fountain Hill. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Paul VanDyke to whom she was married 47 years before his passing in 2013.

Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, Frannie was a daughter of the late Lulu Scott. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, class of 1964. Well known around the Easton area for her great personality and willingness to help others, Frannie was retired and last employed at Turkey Hill. Prior to that, she worked for many years at Chubby's of Southside Easton and Hunterdon State School in New Jersey. Frannie was an avid sports fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Mets, and NASCAR, and she loved to cook and bake. More importantly, she cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren who she greatly loved.

Survivors: She will be dearly missed by her children, Sherri Hoadley and her companion, Dale Fillebrown, of Saylorsburg, Ty VanDyke of Easton, Mindy Kneebone and her companion, David Hodge, of Easton, and Mark VanDyke of Allentown; grandchildren, Kipp Stout, Jr. and his fiancee, Charlene Kratzer, Sierra Stout, and Joshua VanDyke; nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Janice Grube. Also known as "Nanny Fran" to Aidan, Addison, Owen and Aerin, whom she considered her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Edward, she was predeceased by an infant son Edward Paul VanDyke, Jr.; and two brothers, William and Charles Scott.

Services: A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced at a later date. Arrangements and cremation care are under the direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., in the Village of Moorestown - Bath. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net.
