Garry L. Shafer, 65, of Plainfield Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl Shafer (Sandt) to whom he was married to for 37 years. Born in East Stroudsburg, Garry was the son of the late Sterling and Marguerite Shafer (Brong). He graduated from Pen Argyl H.S. Garry worked as a welder.
A man of many passions, Garry found joy in the great outdoors, often spending his days hunting, fishing, and smoking meats. His love for nature and adventure was undeniable and he shared these experiences with those he held dear.
In addition to his wife, he will be missed by his daughter: LeeAnn Shafer (Luke Fisher) of Plainfield Twp.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately. Interment of cremated remains will also take place privately at Plainfield Cemetery.
