James A. Male, Sr

James Anthony Male Sr. of Nazareth died peacefully at the age of 87 on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was the son of the late Anthony Sr. and Jeanette (Avate) Male. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Ruthmary (Gilbert) Male and their five sons; James Jr., Thomas, Gary, Michael and Robert. His legacy continues with 13 grandchildren; Jennifer, Courtney and Cory, Mandi and Nichlas, Nolan and Tyler, Jeanette, Rebecca, Theresa and Valerie, Christian and Angelise, along with numerous great-grandchildren. He was step- pap to Amanda, Kasey and Collin. Also surviving are his four siblings; Francis Temos, Anthony Jr., John and Larry, with many nieces and nephews.

James graduated from Nazareth High School in 1953. He enjoyed a long career as owner and operator of his successful painting business. James was very active in the community. He played and coached sports, was a Boy Scout Master and was a member of several community organizations. James was a 50 year member and very active in Masonic organizations, including Whitfield Lodge No. 622, Past Potentate of Rajah Shriners, as well as several other Masonic bodies.

In addition to these activities, James spent much time with his family and friends. He was known for his annual employee Christmas parties and birthday clambakes, many of which took place at his cabin in Promised Land. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. His kind and subtle approach to life affected many people who should remember him with great fondness and admiration.

Services will be held private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, in the village of Moorestown - Bath.
