Jetta Lee Moyer

May 11, 1933 — June 11, 2024

Jetta Lee (King) Moyer, 91, of Walnutport, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home and family on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. She was the wife of George A. Moyer. The couple observed their 71st wedding anniversary last December.

Born in Bellefonte, PA, she was a daughter of the late Dale and Dorothy (Stover) King. A 1951 graduate of Bellefonte High School, Jetta Lee also attended the former United Wesleyan College in Allentown where she graduated in 1953. She enjoyed a simple but rewarding lifestyle of a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Jetta Lee worked part-time for over 20 years as a cafeteria worker at the George Wolf Elementary School in Bath PA, where her loving spirit and kind smile showed love to many children. She was a faithful member of Bethany Wesleyan Church in Cherryville, teaching Sunday School, Christian Youth Crusaders (CYC), and led many bible studies.

Jetta Lee enjoyed creating items through sewing, crocheting, ceramics and crafts, such as her hand made miniature Moravian stars that she enjoyed sharing with others. One of her favorite past times was reading and she would spend hours at the local library. She built a large collection of books, many with her handwritten notes in the margins. She loved baking, including custom decorated birthday and wedding cakes for family and friends, and will always be remembered for her infamous homemade rolls and sticky buns.
