Joan Fuls

Joan M. Fuls, 88, formerly of Plainfield Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Upper Nazareth Township. She was the beloved wife of the late Russell L. Fuls, Sr. to whom she was married 47 years before his passing in 2004.

Born in Bushkill Township, Joan was a daughter of the late Joseph E. Sr. and Hannah (Frey) Young. She was a graduate of Nazareth High School, Class of 1954. Throughout her life, Joan found great pleasure in being a dedicated homemaker. Her hobbies included knitting and immersing herself in the tunes of both polka and country music. She not only cherished the simple pleasures in life but also took pride in creating a warm and welcoming home for her family.

Survivors: She will be dearly missed by her children,Russell Fuls, Jr. of Wind Gap, Sharon Donovan and husband, Michael, of Stroudsburg, and Deborah Hine and husband, Michael, of Pen Argyl; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Young, Jr. and wife, Jeanette, of Roundup, Montana; three sisters, Hilda Young of Bushkill Township, Linda Jones and husband, Benjamin, of Bushkill Township, and Sandra Young of Breinigsville; along with nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Russell, she was predeceased by a brother, Vernon H. Young; and a sister, Myra A. Flyte.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC,2165 Community Drive Rt. 946, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and Relatives are invited to call on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield Township.
