John W. Kostenbader

John W. Kostenbader, 85, of Bushkill Twp., passed away peacefully, on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Arden Courts - Easton. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Kostenbader to whom he was married 47 years. Born in Bushkill Twp., the son of the late Robert and Irene (King) Kostenbader. John was employed as a driller at Explo-Tech, Inc. - Norristown/Blue Bell, PA for 30 years retiring in 2004. In his earlier years, he briefly worked at Binney & Smith.

He was a life-long member of the Schoeneck Moravian Church in Nazareth. John found solace in the family farm in Bushkill Township, where he lovingly tended to the land. In his leisure time, John reveled in the simple joys of life, whether it be cultivating his vibrant garden, exploring the snowy landscapes on his snowmobile, or venturing into the great outdoors for hunting excursions.

Survivors: He will be missed by his sons: John R. Kostenbader and his companion Lisa of Lancaster and Mark Newman and his wife Dianne of Bushkill Twp.; sister: Carolyn Hertzog and her husband Glenn of Bushkill Twp.; grandchildren: Kylee, Samantha, Vienna, Matthew, Briana, Katie and Jack; great-grandchildren: Pearl, Jayvin, Dayton, Logan, Bo, Mia, Adelyn, Fionnlagh, Slate, George and Gabriella; nieces & nephews. John was predeceased by his brother: Howard Kostenbader.

Services:
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Schoeneck Moravian Church - 316 N. Broad St Ext, Nazareth, PA 18064. A viewing will be held from 10 AM until time of the services. The interment will conclude services at God's Acre at Schoeneck Moravian Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, may be offered to the Schoeneck Moravian Church.
