John E. F. Miller, Jr.

John E. F. Miller, Jr., 82, of Easton, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Easton Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Palmer Township. He was the beloved husband of Jennie Miller (Horack) to whom he was married to for 61 years. Born in Easton, John was a son of the late John Miller, Sr. and Ona Counterman (Smith).

John was employed as a security guard for the former Cigna - Easton. He took great pride in being a dependable figure in his community, often considering himself the neighborhood private eye, always ready to lend a helping hand.

He cherished moments spent reading and listening to music, finding a particular joy in Johnny Cash. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed smoking cigarettes, reminiscing about the good times spent with friends and family. John's love for his dog, Starla, brought him immense joy.

In addition to his wife, he will be lovingly remembered by his children: Jennie Bauder of Easton, John Miller (Brenda Lee) of Easton, Nancy Van Horn (Marc) of Easton, Tommy Miller (Wendy) of Kunkletown; grandchildren: Jennifer, Christopher, Amanda, John, Jr., Randy, Shelby, John, IV, Tommy, Alissa, Jakie, Brett, Alyssa, Ashlee, Chairtey, Ricky, Jr., Gauge, Krista, Shauna, Brittany, Marc Jr., Olivia and Taylor ; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Haylee, John,V, Malachi, Maddelyn, Owen, Kayden, Brooklyn, Ivy, Aaliyah, Alexander, Aiden, Mason, Kaizen, Renesmee, Chase and Asher; brothers: Richard Miller of Easton & Edward Counterman (Brenda) of Northampton; nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by a son: Ricky Miller; brothers: Robert Miller, Sr., James Counterman and Sonny Trexler; sisters: Darlene Miller and Diana Counterman.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 27, 2025, in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC. - 2165 Community Drive, - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and Relatives are invited to a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
