Jon Peter Lamberton, Sr., 68, of Moore Township, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 25, 2023, while on a cruise vacation with his wife. Jon and his wife, Brenda F. (Armdt) Solderitch, were celebrating their recent marriage on October 8th; they have been together since 1999.
Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late Raymond M. and Susan (Rusin) Lamberton. Following his graduation from Liberty High School in 1973, Jon began a successful 30-year-career at Hershey’s Ice Cream, before retiring. He later worked for a private contractor providing services for the United States Postal Service. Jon’s true passion was gardening, and he loved to supply the neighborhood with his homegrown vegetables. In retirement, Jon and Brenda enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas where he looked forward to gambling, and they shared many wonderful memories of cruise vacations. He was a member of Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Brenda, he is survived by two sons, Jon P. Lamberton, Jr. (Tressa) of Saylorsburg, and Joel Lamberton (Kim) of Pen Argyl; a stepdaughter, Tina Saginario (Jake) of Bath; four grandchildren, Joselyn, Devin, Autumn, and Cole; two step-grandsons, Connor and Nicholas; nieces and nephews; and his loyal pet German Shepherd, Sasha. Jon was predeceased by a sister, Marijean Hohensheldt; and a stepson, Matthew Solderitch.
Services: Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath.
