Linda M. Tuerff, 79, of Moore Twp., passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg. She was the beloved wife of Arthur K. Tuerff, Sr. to whom she was married to for 61 years. Born in Irvington, NJ, Linda was a daughter of the late Walter Wojtas and Florence Wojtas (Pochocki).
Linda was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother and was a woman of strength, compassion, and wisdom. Linda was known for her strong-willed nature and unwavering principles. Throughout her life, she showed remarkable resilience and an enduring commitment to her family. She beat cancer twice over the last 10 years and her strong will to be with her family kept her focused-on recovery. She fought hard and even on her journey managed to touch and make a lasting impression on the people she met along the way.
A dedicated wife to Art, and a loving mother to Kiersten and Jarred, she was always at the heart of her family, offering support, guidance, and love. She met the love of her life when they were in grade school and their love story began when they were in their early teens. She and her husband truly became one and for more than 60 years could be found enjoying life together.
As a grandmother, Linda's legacy lives on in her cherished grandchildren, Sydney, Brooke, Natalie and Jake. She took immense pride in their achievements, and her nurturing presence was a constant source of joy in their lives.
After raising her family, Linda served as an assistant tax collector at Borough Hall in Somerville, NJ. After moving to Pennsylvania, she and her husband fulfilled a dream by owning and operating Country Carpet Shoppe, LLC in Bangor, PA where they worked alongside of their son Jarred for more than 23 years until their retirement in 2013.
Linda, loved to spend time with her family, friends and dogs. She camped for more than 50 years creating an abundance of memories cherished by so many. The campgrounds they enjoyed became threads that connected their family - each spot holding a story filled with laughter and love. Camping is where so many friends became family to Linda. She loved to dance and in recent years spend as much time as possible with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Linda will be lovingly remembered by her children: Kiersten Hafer (Dave) of Skippack, PA and Jarred Tuerff (Kate) of Mount Bethel; grandchildren: Sydney, Brooke, Natalie and Jake.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to those who offered their love and support during this time.
