Lois Padula

Lois L. Padula, 78, of Allen Township, formerly of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenburg Campus, Bethlehem. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard C. Padula, Sr. to whom she was married 52 years before his passing in 2018.

Born in Northampton, Lois was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Marion M. (Krause) Moll. She was a 1964 graduate of Northampton High School. A member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union, she was employed as a seamstress for several years at the former D & D Shirt Co. in Northampton and Mary Fashion Manufacturing in Bath. Lois was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and she watched every televised game as well as General Hospital which she enjoyed watching daily.

Survivors: She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Carol Schmoyer, of Moore Township, and Cynthia Padula and her companion, Ronald Weedling, of East Allen Township; granddaughters, Amber Schmoyer and her companion, Ryan Ruch, of Lodi, California, and Jenna Schmoyer of Moore Township; six great-grandchildren, Addyson, Elena, Everly, Ethan, Aiden, and Deluca; a sister, Linda Schwenk of Slatington; along with many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Toby.

In addition to her husband, Richard, she was predeceased by two sons, Richard C. Jr. and Gregory A. Padula; a granddaughter, Christy Snyder Smith; a grandson, Joshua T. Schmoyer; three brothers, Herbert D., Robert H. and Henry R. Moll; and three sisters, Virginia M. "Ginny" Smith, Sally A. Fenstermaker, and Ruth A. Szigray.
