Nellie M. Nottle, 84, of Wind Gap, formerly of Saylorsburg, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 1, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late William Nottle with whom she shared 61 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2019.
Born in Wilson Borough, Nellie was the daughter of the late Paul E. Sr. and Anna (Schaeffer) Shook. She was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union and was employed as a seamstress at various blouse mills in the region prior to retiring. Nellie's talents were not limited to sewing, she was also a talented quilter and a great cook and baker. She enjoyed the simple things in life, getting together with old friends to play Canasta, square dancing with her husband and friends, and she always enjoyed dancing with her husband to their song Look At Us by Vince Gill.
Survivors: She is survived by her children, Craig Nottle and wife, Joann, with whom she resided, and Paige Dengler and husband, Keith, of Saylorsburg; two grandchildren, Christopher and Samantha Nottle; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, William, she was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey A. Nottle, in 2023.
