Nicholas G. Burns, 33, of Albrightsville, formerly of Bath, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, March 15, 2024. He was the husband of Natalie A. (Summerfelt) Burns. Natalie and Nick were together for nearly four years and would have celebrated their first wedding anniversary on May 8th.
Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of Gene G. Jr. and Tammy L. (Scheffler) Burns. Nick was a 2008 graduate of Northampton High School and continued his education at Northampton Community College where he earned an associate degree in Culinary Arts. An avid NASCAR fan, his favorite driver was Ryan Blaney, and Nick also was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting. Funny, kind and gentle, Nick could light up a room and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Natalie, and his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Robin (Eberly) Sutton and husband, Albert, of Nazareth; maternal grandfather, Richard Scheffler and wife, Dorothy, of Sciota; grandmother-in-law, Cheryl Summerfelt of Gilbertsville; aunt and godmother, Stephanie Hill and husband, Dan, of Effort; uncles, Brian, Mike and Faron Burns; cousins; and Lilly, Scarlet and Triton, who were his loyal pet dogs.
Nick was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Gene G. Sr. and Sheila L. (Longley) Burns.
Services: Friends and relatives are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 P.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014. Expressions of sympathy may be recorded at bensingfuneralhome.net.
