Ralph William "Bill" Ebner entered into eternal rest on January 15, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest Campus, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in 1947 on South Side Easton to Geneva (Clark) and Ralph L. Ebner, Bill grew up cutting lawns and delivering newspapers until, as a teenager, he learned the electrical trade from a close family friend. He was a 1965 graduate of Easton High School. Soon after graduating, he was drafted into the US Army, where he was assigned to the Corps of Engineers. He served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968, during the beginning of the Tet Offensive.

Upon returning home, he met the love of his life and partner of over 55 years, Sandi (Raidline); they were married on October 4, 1969. Together they loved dirt track racing, often traveling to Flemington, NJ, and Middletown, NY to attend races. In 1980, they welcomed their only child, Sarah, with whom he spent many hours building and fixing things, fishing, and doing math problems for fun.

An electrician by trade, Ralph worked in many industries over the years -- from new home construction in the 1970s with J.H. Slack Electric of Phillipsburg, NJ, to Lehigh Valley Dairy in Allentown, to campus maintenance (eventually taking on an assistant supervisory role) at Lafayette College in Easton, and finally retiring after more than 20 years from West Side Hammer Electric of Bethlehem as a Bid Estimator/ Project Manager.

Ralph will be remembered by all who knew him for his joviality and quick wit, with no reservations about "telling it like it is." Known to his family as "Better-Idea Bill," he was always making improvements on things and building labor-saving devices. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, baseball, football, and basketball, as well as sci-fi and comedy on TV.

Survivors: Ralph is survived by his wife, Sandi, and daughter, Sarah Ebner, both of Kunkletown; sister, Sallie Smull and husband, Louis, of Palmer Township, sister-in-law, Wendy Martinez and husband Edwin, of Lower Nazareth Township, as well as many nieces and nephews and their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph L. and Geneva M. (Clark) Ebner; and a stillborn daughter, Rebecca.

Services: A Memorial Service, with Military Honors, is being planned and will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown, Bath, PA 18014. On-line expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net.
