Raymond P. Piatt, 89, of Bushkill Township, formerly of Palmer Townshp, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Bethlehem South Nursing & Rehab. He was the loving husband of Liselotte W. (Knauer) Piatt with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, Raymond was a son of the late Paul and Anna (Zwiski) Piatt. A 1952 graduate of Phillipsburg High School, he later honorably served in the United States Army. Raymond was a maintenance engineer for the County of Lehigh at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Fountain Hill for more than 20 years, before retiring. He formerly owned and operated a Formica specialty business in Nazareth, Bars & Boxes, and was previously employed at Ingersoll-Rand. Talented and creative, after retiring, Raymond owned Magic Makers, a business which specialized in creating tricks for magicians.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Liselotte, he is survived by his son, Stephen R. Piatt of Whitehall; grandson, Christopher Piatt; nieces and nephews.
Raymond was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Sharon I. Piatt; and his siblings, Arthur Piatt, Pauline Brodhead, and Anna Marie Smith.
Services: Private. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath.
