Richard H. Hahn passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at his home in Plainfield Township. He was 89. Richard shared 62 years of marriage to Ethel J. (West) Hahn before her passing in July 2018.
Born in Plainfield Township, he was the son of the late Howard F. and Naomi L. (Rissmiller) Hahn. After attending Pen Argyl High School, Richard was employed by Kepler's Fuel Company in Easton for many years before taking over the family dairy farm full time. Once he retired from farming, he enjoyed reading books and especially looked forward to receiving his weekly edition of the Lancaster Farming newspaper. Richard was always busy with one project or another because, as we all know, farmers don't ever truly retire. He loved having long conversations with family and friends and many a time his cell phone would run out of charge as a result. Richard was a member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church, Nazareth.
Survivors: He will be deeply missed by his children, Patricia Davies and her husband, Bill, of Nazareth, Donna Williams of Palmer Township, and Gary Hahn of Plainfield Township; five grandchildren, Lisa Halpin and her husband, Tim, Randy Williams, Katelyn Davies, Scott Hahn and his wife, Kathryn, and Cole Hahn; six great-grandchildren, Bailey Werkheiser and her husband, Mark, Kayla Halpin, Rylie Halpin, Wyatt Williams, Wesley Hahn, and Kinsley Hahn; nieces and nephews.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2165 Community Drive, in the Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014.
