Robert M. Eckroth, 87, of Moore Twp., passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenburg. Born in Bethlehem, Robert was a son of the late Floyd Sr. and Anna Eckroth (Simsack).

Robert served with honor in the US Army during the Vietnam War, completing his basic training at Fort Knox, KY, and artillery training at Fort Sill, OK. Not only did Robert serve his country bravely, but he also had a passion for sports, playing baseball during his time in Germany and later coaching baseball in Moore Township during the 1970's and 1980's. Robert worked at Eaton, where he wired electronic switchboards.

Outside of his military and coaching endeavors, Robert enjoyed the great outdoors as an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman.

He will be missed by his sons: Curt Eckroth of Moore Twp. and Robert William Eckroth; 2 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers.

Services will be held privately. Interment with military honors will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC.
