Robert Klein

Robert E. Klein, 93, of Troy, PA, formerly of Nazareth, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Robert Packer Hospital Skilled Care and Rehabilitation in Towanda. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan Klein (Protzman) to whom he was married 52 years before her passing in 2002. Born in Sioux Falls, SD, Robert was a son of the late John and Ida Klein (Powell).

He graduated from Easton High School, "Class of 1948" and Churchman Business School. Robert was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church - Klecknersville.

For many years, he worked as a truck driver at Chemical Leaman Tank Lines Inc., in Upper Nazareth Twp. However, his true passion lay in farming, a vocation he embraced wholeheartedly. Robert was raised on the "Klein Family" Farm in Forks Township, Pennsylvania, where he developed a deep connection to the land and a strong work ethic that defined his life.

Robert's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the values he instilled in his loved ones. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to God, family and the joy he found in pursuing his passions.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Cynthia (Mark) Hower, of Troy, PA and Carolyn Crow of Ulster, PA; grandchildren: Robert Brotzman, Dana Rivera (Augustine), Joseph Hower (Jessica) and James Hower (Megan); 8 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; longtime girlfriend: Rose Hayes of Clinton, NJ; In addition to his spouse, Joan, he was predeceased by a daughter: Susan Brotzman; brothers: Roy, Floyd & Leslie "John" Klein and sisters: Geneva Gove and Irene Smith.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2pm on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Greenwood Cemetery - 178 W. High Street - Nazareth, PA 18064.
