Roger L. Millheim, 77, of Melville, Montana, formerly a resident of Nazareth, PA, died on August 7, 2024 as a result of a single airplane accident in Logan County near Elkhart, Illinois. Roger was born on October 16, 1946, the son of the late Leon and Helen (Doyle) Millheim. He graduated from Nazareth Senior High School in 1964, and Penn State with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
Having faithfully served as the pastor of Melville Lutheran Church in Montana, Roger's commitment to his faith was unwavering. His passions for fishing, hunting, and aviation were only surpassed by his dedication to sharing the teachings of the gospel.
In a life cut short while doing what he loved, Roger's legacy of kindness and spiritual guidance will forever be remembered by those who knew him. He was an extremely loving and caring Pappy to his precious granddaughters.
He will be lovingly remembered by a daughter: Tara Baker and her husband Tim of Rockwall, TX, granddaughters: Lana and Lydia; sister: Regina Homoki and her husband Stephen of Nazareth; nephews: Stephen and Scott and companion: Jean Bay.
Graveside Services with military honors, will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 10 AM in the Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery - 1002 Bushkill Center Rd, Nazareth, PA 18064.
