Ruth E. Snyder, 101, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospice - Lower Saucon Twp. She was the beloved wife of the late Hugh J. Sullivan Sr. and J.D. Snyder. Born in Allentown, Ruth was a daughter of the late Harold Flexer and Esther (Silfies) Weiss.
Throughout her years, Ruth found joy in the simplest of things, cherishing the moments spent traveling with Dick, and creating lasting memories with her loved ones. Her life was adorned with various hobbies, from playing bridge and shopping to bowling, sewing, and even square dancing, but above all, Ruth treasured the time she spent surrounded by her family.
Survivors: She will be missed by her children: Ruth Lynn and her fiance Thomas Abruzzese of Nazareth, Timothy Sullivan, Sr. & his wife Donna of Moore Twp. and Michael Sullivan & his wife Billie Jean of Easton; son-in-law: Gary Lauer of Port Saint Lucie, FL and Larry Kelling of Charleston SC; step-son: Richard Snyder and his wife Annette of Moore Twp.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Ruth is predeceased by spouses: Hugh J. Sullivan Sr. and J.D. Snyder; son: Sgt. Hugh J. Sullivan, Jr. (KIA-Vietnam); daughter: Phyllis Lauer; sister: Phyllis Johnson; grandchildren: Keith Lauer, Lisa Lauer, Gary Lauer, Jr. and Michael Sullivan, Jr.; son-in-law: Jerry Fritchman, C. Thomas Lynn Jr., Tom Williams; daughter-in-law: Sandy Sullivan Kelling and Lynn Fritchman Williams.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 11 AM in St Andrew's Lutheran Church - 3900 Freemansburg Ave, Easton, PA 18045. Friends and Relatives are invited to call from 10 AM until the time of the service. Entombment of cremated remains will conclude services at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
