Sara Bruch

September 28, 1941 — December 20, 2024

Sara L. Bruch, 83, of Bethlehem, formerly of Allen Township, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Friday evening, December 20, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg in Bethlehem.

Born in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late George F. "Frank" and Evelyn (Gilbert) Ball, and a 1959 graduate of Phillipsburg High School. Sara was last employed at the Praxis Alzheimer's Facility in Easton and previously worked at a State Farm Insurance Agency in Nazareth. Prior to the arrival of her children, she was employed at the former Easton Express newspaper, now The Express-Times. A loving mother and a passion for children, Sara dedicated her time to coaching girls softball for the Allen Township Youth Association. She also enjoyed bowling and participated in the women's league at the former Warren Lanes in Phillipsburg for many years.

Survivors: Sara will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children, Laura Michael of Northampton, and Bret Bruch and his wife, Mary, of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Jazmin Smith and husband, Kevin, Anthony Christiano, and Haley Bruch; great-grandsons, Garrett and Colt Smith; step-children, Patricia Nesfeder, Wayne R. Bruch, Jr., and Gail Bruch, all of Nazareth; a sister-in-law, Deborah Ball of Palmerton; nieces, Amy Broadfield and Andrea Shafer; a nephew, Frank Ball; and her best friend of many years, Eileen Rohn and husband, Warren, of Bushkill Township.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her companion of six years, Jay Hill; an infant son, Bart; her brother, Stuart Ball; and her beloved pet dog, Brie.

Services: A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced at a later date. Arrangements and cremation care are under the direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., in the Village of Moorestown - Bath. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net.
