Steven Michael Millheim, VMD, 57, of Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown, formerly of Plainfield Twp. and Bushkill Twp., passed away at Moravian Village on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Steven was born at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown on November 7th, 1967 at 7:24pm to the late Maryann R. (Groller) and Harold E. Millheim of Belfast (Plainfield Twp).

In addition to his mom, Steven was preceded in death by his sister: Michelle M. Mitman, maternal and paternal grandparents: Mary T. (Sakasitz) Groller, John F. Groller & Franklin F. and Mabel Eichlin Millheim.

In addition to his father, Steven will be lovingly remembered by a godson and nephew Christopher R. Mitman, a niece and goddaughter: Holly M. Allison and husband Jason; a brother-in-law: Gary R. Mitman of Easton, several aunts and uncles; multiple cousins, friends, acquaintances, and colleagues.

He also had a fond affection for animals, especially dogs, particularly miniature schnauzers.

Steven attended Pen Argyl Area School District graduating with high honors in 1986. Following PAHS, he traveled to Reading, PA (Albright College) where he earned a BS degree in biology, graduating in 1990. His final educational endeavor/ institution was The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in Philadelphia, PA earning a VMD degree graduating in May 1994.

Steven was involved in numerous activities especially while in HS as well as while attending college at Albright. Some of these included student government, variations, snack bar chairman, orchestra, marching and concert band, track & field and chorus. A member of the Jr. & Sr. National Honor Society and prom committee just to name a few while attending PAHS, He was just as involved while in college including BASE (big brother and sister exchange) program for incoming freshmen students which he was co-organizer, Head Resident Assistant for three years, track and field with high hurdles and chorus.

He was also active in his community particularly Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Belfast and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church - Nazareth, where he served on the altar guild committee, chairman of the flower fund, church council, served as a communion assistant, lector, acolyte and usher.

Professionally he was a member of the AVMA, PVMA, LVVMA & DVVMA.

Steven was employed by numerous small animal and exotic practices in and around the Lehigh Valley such as chief of staff for 3 years at Healthy PET - Easton, Walbert Animal Hospital - Allentown, serving as chief of staff, Emergency Medicine at Valley Central Veterinary Referral & Emergency - Whitehall and Mountain Shadow Veterinary Clinic - Schuylkill Haven. Earlier in life, he was also employed at J's Steak & Subs - Nazareth and Pen Argyl locations for 10 years and Binney and Smith (Crayola Factory) for 2 summers.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church - 200 S. Broad St, Nazareth, PA 18064. Friends and Relatives are invited to an evening viewing from 6 to 7:30 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC. - 2165 Community Drive - Bath, PA 18014. In addition, a viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of the services on Wednesday (in church). Interment will follow the church services at Belfast Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to The Center For Animal Health & Welfare - 1165 Island Park Rd - Easton, PA 18042 and/or your favorite Schnauzer rescue.
