Tammy J. Rinker

Tammy J. Rinker, 58, of Upper Nazareth Township, formerly of Tatamy, passed away peacefully at home,while surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.  Born in Wilson Borough, she was a daughter of the late Franklin M. and Bertha J. (Frantz) Rinker.  Tammy was a 1985 graduate of Nazareth High School and Colonial Intermediate Unit 20.  For 32 years, she faithfully attended day programs at The Arc of Lehigh and Northampton Counties as well asSPARC. Tammy was formerly a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ of Tatamy.  Very active throughout the years, Tammy enjoyed bowling, horseback riding, swimming, snorkeling, and she loved to dance.  She also enjoyed many wonderful vacations with her family and always looked forward to participating in the annual Lehigh Valley Polar Plunge held at Scott Park in Easton, an event near and dear to her heart, to benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania.

Survivors: Tammy will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her brother, Jody A. Rinker and his wife, Jane, devoted caregivers with whom Tammyresided for the past 33 years; nephew, Chad Rinker and niece, Ashley Reiger; brother, Thomas A. Rinker and wife, Julie, of Forks Township; along with nieces and nephews; and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Tammy was predeceased by a sister, Carol A. Snyder; and three brothers, Melvin G., Barry L. and Richard F. Rinker.

Services: A Memorial Service in celebration of Tammy’s life will be held on Saturday, July 01, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014.  Friends and relatives are invited to call on Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Northampton Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Palmer Township.
