Thomas J. Erkinger, 92, of the "Mud Valley" Section of Moore Township, PA, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Harhart) Erkinger. Tom was born in Moore Township, the son of the late Thomas and Hedwig (Lebensorger) Erkinger.
Thomas proudly served his country in Germany in the U.S. Army. He dedicated many years of hard work to the shipping department at Binney & Smith in Easton, known for their iconic Crayola Crayons. Fondly called the "Mayor of Mud Valley," Thomas was a man of many talents. He found joy in playing the accordion and guitar, relishing in the tunes of polka and classic country music.
A lover of all things Farmall Tractor and the color red, Thomas was a true enthusiast in his passions. His warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of those around him, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Survivors: He will be missed by his children: Thomas Erkinger, III, and his wife Shirl of Nazareth, Kathleen Erkinger of Nazareth and Terry Garger and her husband James T. Garger, Jr. of Walnutport; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his spouse, he was predeceased by 12 siblings.
