Verna L. Silfies, 83, formerly of Danielsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Bethlehem South Nursing & Rehab. She was the beloved wife of the late Roy Silfies to whom she was married to for 45 years before his passing in 2005. Born in Danielsville, Verna was a daughter of the late Owen and Ruth Derhammer (Werkheiser).

Verna was a homemaker. Verna was a member of Christ Church Little Moore U.C.C. in Danielsville. She will be fondly remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. She had a passion for cooking, especially known for her delightful "Sunday Dinners" that brought family together, filling their hearts and stomachs with love. Her affinity for simple pleasures-shopping trips, dining out, and enjoying her favorite game shows and soap operas like "Wheel of Fortune" and "General Hospital"-revealed her vibrant spirit and zest for life.

She will be missed by her son: Steward Silfies (Tracey); brother: Oliver Derhammer (Catherine); sister: Ruthann Henry (Preston) all of Danielsville; many nieces and nephews. Verna was predeceased by a son: Ray Silfies.
