Virginia M. (Smith) Turoczi

Virginia M. Turoczi, 92, of Moore Township, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023.  Born in Bethlehem, she was one of nine children born to the late Owen and Dorothy (Smith) Turoczi.  Virginia was the wife of the late Alexander Turoczi, Jr., to whom she was married 54 years before his passing in 2006.  For a brief time early in her marriage, Virginia and Alex owned and operated a sandwich shop in SouthBethlehem.  Always placing her family first, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Virginia simply loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.  In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, playing pinochle with family and friends, and was an avid bingo player playing weekly at the Klecknersville Rangers as well as many other venues.  Virginia was a member of Blue Mountain Radio Club and Salem United Church of Christ of Moorestown.

Survivors: Virginia will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her four grandchildren, Barry Snow, Amy Snow, Casandra Turoczi, and Jennifer Turoczi; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Lavenberg, Derek Lavenberg, Jordyn Lavenberg, and Summer Snow; a brother, Wayne Williams and wife, Debbie, of Northampton; a sister, Joyce Albert and husband, Jim, of Bethlehem Township; along with many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, Alex, she was predeceased by a daughter, Mary A. Snow; a son, Alexander “Sonny” Turoczi, III; as well as two sisters; and four brothers.

Services: A Graveside Service will be held privately with the family in Fountain Hill Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Virginia’s family in care of the funeral home.
